During the summer I shared with you all my journey of getting healthy and how challenging and hard it can be to lose weight. Have you been there? Trying to get healthy but you find there? So many options that it can make your head spin. I know I have! After using these apps for five months I couldn’t keep this a secret anymore. Not only do these three apps make my life so much easier, it helps me stay accountable to being a healthy new me! (And just to let you know I am not getting paid for this post, there are no affiliate links in this post…. I truly like these apps.)
My Top 3 Favorite Apps
- I Track Bites App: Oh my word!!! I can not brag about this app enough! If you have ever loved weight watchers but did not have the time to go to a weekly meeting, OR you couldn’t afford the weekly fees- then this is the app for you! The I Tack Bites App is a much cheaper but AMAZING app that helps you accomplish your weight loss journey and do it without breaking the bank! I only had to spend $15.00 TOTAL for a lifetime of use! Not 15.00 a week, but $15.00 forever! This app helps me stay on track in this electronic app age! Can you tell I love it?
- Pacer App: This an app for those of us who do not yet have a fitbit or a watch that tracks steps but you want to get healthy and active! This is a free app with options to spend money to upgrade. I have not upgraded, and still feel like it helps me get active daily. I have been using this app for over four months and it has made getting fit fun! I can have a competitive side and when I need to get a specific amount of steps in for the day – challenge accepted. Last month I achieved two of my personal records for steps: 15,213 and 20,200 steps! My Pacer app makes getting active fun for me, I hope it helps you as well!
- Cardiio App: I first downloaded this app because I wanted to know what my heart rate was pumping at. It works great right on my phone – how cool is that?! My kids even love it, they are always trying to test their heart rate too…lol! This app also has another feature I really like – The 7-minute workout! I like this feature because it helps you exercise specific muscle groups and raises your heartbeat quickly. I can’t do all of the 12 exercises they suggest, so I modify it to still get a fast heart rate. After the 7-minute workout I take my heart rate in one single app! YAY!
With the combination of these three awesome apps they have enabled me to get healthy and fit in a way that works for me and my schedule. I’ve had to make some life changes to focus more on my health, but it has been well worth it. Grace upon grace my friend. I had to let go of some things to re-focus on getting healthy again. One of those things I had to let go of was blogging as much as I desperately wanted. I enjoy writing and blogging but it is time-consuming, especially blogging. It can take anywhere from 2-6 hours to write any given post. This post, for example, has been swirling in my head for over 2 months, but I couldn’t chisel out the time to do it. Sometimes we need to shift things and allow ourselves to do the most important thing first like getting ourselves healthy! That is not selfish, actually, it is the very best thing we can do for ourselves and our family. I want to be here as long as God wants me, so making my health a priority is a necessity.
