Moments with Maker Devotional Week #10

You are not Forgotten

“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him…” – Lamentations 3:25

“Why is God letting all these terrible things happen to me……has God forgotten me? I must not be worthy of His love.” A dear friend asked as tears filled her eyes.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I sat there and simply listened. Sometimes just listening is the very best we can do for a hurting friend. I listened as she poured out her heart like a water faucet. She poured out words of pain, hurt, sadness and deep anguish over all the situations going on in her life. At the end of our conversation right before she left I gave her a big hug and told her,

“You are not forgotten, in fact, Jesus is grieving with you and He loves you deeply. You are always on His mind.”

Have you ever felt you have been forgotten? I know I have.

Maybe you have felt forgotten in small ways like friends or family missing your birthday OR a tragedy occurred and you wondered where is God in all this mess? Has He forgotten about me?

Even for myself there are moments, days and even seasons that goes by where I have felt forgotten……by others and sometimes even God.

When moments or feelings creep into our hearts, that is when we have to make a conscious choice to believe God and not our feelings.

Stay firm on these Biblical truths:

  • Stand YOUR identity in Christ alone
  • YOU are HIS masterpiece
  • His word says He loves YOU with unfailing and everlasting love
  • He knows the numbers of hairs YOU have
  • He has engraved YOUR name into the palm of His hand

Because the LORD does all of the above and so much more, He hasn’t forgotten me or you!Forgotten

No matter what circumstances you are currently in, don’t fall for the hurtful lies trying to infiltrate your heart and mind. You are not forgotten! Jesus remembered {YOU} as He died on the cross for you, so that you may have eternal life with Him for ALL eternity!

Ask the Lord to encourage and comfort you. Tell the Lord what you are burdened with- He can handle it. He’s as close to you as your next breath. His Holy Spirit is inside of you if you have asked Him into your heart and life. God loves you deeply, He not only died for you, He resurrected so that you can live your life with Him and for Him!

He desires for you to have a life filled with joy, love, goodness, and peace.

You are not forgotten dear friend- in fact He never forgets you.

“See, I have written your name on the palms of my hand…” – Isaiah 49:16a.

The next time you feel you’re forgotten, cling to these verses and statements founded in God’s Word. Do one or all of these four things to build up your faith:

  1. Write the verses out and memorize them. Say it out loud with faith.
  2. Print out the free {You are not Forgotten} Printable (below) and keep it somewhere you can see everyday!
  3. Take a picture with your phone on the above statements or printable. And Whenever your tempted to feel forgotten, take a look at it on your phone and declare why you are not forgotten.
  4. Pray and journal what the Lord speaks to your heart as you sit as His feet.

The truth is God always remembers you, you are never forgotten- for you are His beloved.

I pray this blessing over you right now from Numbers 6:24-26, “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

God loves you dear friend and {YOU} are not  forgotten! I am praying your heart will be filled with hope upon hope of His great love for you!

{P.S.} The story continues…..because that’s just how God is 🙂

I have to share this with you all. After I hit the PUBLISH button on this post, I began to research if there was a flower called the Forget Me-Not or was it just the romantic part of me wanting there to be one. And yes, you probably know this already…..there are Forget Me-Not flowers and they are beautiful.

Then I felt like I needed to change the color of my photos I originally posted from a pinky coral color to the purple/blue color to match the forget me-not flowers. I also knew I needed to include the beautiful forget me-not flowers graphics within this post since it is all about YOU are NOT Forgotten!

As I was searching on Google for the forget me-not flowers I found this awesome graphic quote from Pres. Uchtdorf’s talk from a packet of forget me-not seeds here. It is in complete alignment with what the Lord had me share with you moments ago in the above post! Because of that I decided to make you a 8 x 10 print that you can have to remind you that YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN!

God is so amazing! He loves you and I so much! He wants desperately for all humanity to know no one is forgotten – NO One! You are remembered friend! The Maker will always remember YOU!
