Well, this is the day I finally hit the PUBLISH button. My very first blog post in almost four years. I have been dreaming about the idea of this very blog for a few years now. But I allowed fear and perfectionism keep me from hitting the publish button for a while now.
I couldn’t decide on which blog theme to choose, which logo should I choose? Should I re-design my logo or not? I mean, my goodness I am a graphic designer and I couldn’t even come up with a logo for myself! HA! And then I got stuck on which photo should I use for my first blog post? What colors do I want to represent myself? Oh My! The amount of choices I needed to make for this blog can be insurmountable, but then I decided to just make one small choice, one step at a time and keep moving forward.
You see, I wanted to start this new chapter in my journey for quite some time, but felt something holding me back. Can you guess what that was? Yep, it was ME!
Why do we resist the very thing that might be God’s best for us?
Why is it sometimes so hard to finally begin a new chapter of our lives?
Does anyone else have fear stepping out into all the unpredictable unknowns?
- New Job
- New Church
- New blog
- Stepping out in full faith
The list could go on and on. So many of us are transitioning from where we currently are INTO where the Lord wants to take us and how He sees us.
Revelation 21:5 says,
He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’ Then he said, ‘Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.’
Even when we feel we are not making progress, if you’re resting in the Lord and trusting in His ways, THEN you are making progress my friend! No matter how difficult or messy our circumstances might be, keep pressing forward, keep pressing into the Lord and find shelter in the shadow of His wing.
If you don’t remember anything else from my blog post please remember this: If (or when) you feel life is pulling you down and you feel like your drowning in defeat, God is Making All Things New!
He breathed life into Adam….He can breathe life back into your circumstance.
He raised Jesus from the dead….He can bring life back to something that’s dead in your life.
He can and will MAKE all things new!
Trust in Him and you will have peace that surpasses all understanding.
I pray my blog will be a blessing to you as you journey with the Lord and all that He has for you and yours.
